Integrate WhatsApp as a separate channel in the GHL in less than 10 minutes. You can keep sending text messages using LC or Twilio and still send WhatsApp messages to your contacts.

WhatsApp as a separate channel You can add WhatsApp as an add-on communication channel inside GHL. After installing the app, It will be available in the conversation channel under a separate tab named WAMSG.

How to add inside GHL?

To add WhatsApp as a separate channel, you can register using the below link and follow the steps given in the video.

When and why should we incorporate it as a separate channel? You can use this feature to keep using the existing SMS channel, i.e., LC or Twilio, to send text messages to your customers, and still you can send WhatsApp messages.

By adding it as a separate channel, it will not replace the existing SMS functionality with WhatsApp. SMS will keep working as it is, and whenever you want to send WhatsApp messages, you can send them easily from the WhatsApp tab.

Can I use it in the Workflow automation?

Yes, you can do that by using premium actions inside the workflow. You can easily send text messages, media messages, internal notifications, etc. from Workflow automation.

Also, you can use it as a trigger, just select WAMSG in the trigger.

Are there any limitations to using WhatsApp as a channel?

Using the Channel feature has certain limitations:

‒⁠ ⁠You will need to use premium actions to use this within automations (GHL charges a small amount for this per use)

‒⁠ ⁠The custom channel does not show up in filters (based on reply channels, you can still filter by incoming messages etc.), a work-around maybe required in certain use cases with automations due to this.

What is the cost of using WhatsApp as a separate channel?

The subscription fee will be as per the below plan.

i. $29 Plan: We charge $29 per month per subscription if you have 10 or less than 10 active subscriptions.

ii. $19 Plan: Pay just $19 per subscription if you have 10+ active paid subscriptions.
