When and why should we incorporate it as a separate channel? You can use this feature to keep using the existing SMS channel, i.e., LC or Twilio, to send text messages to your customers, and still you can send WhatsApp messages.
By adding it as a separate channel, it will not replace the existing SMS functionality with WhatsApp. SMS will keep working as it is, and whenever you want to send WhatsApp messages, you can send them easily from the WhatsApp tab.
Can I use it in the Workflow automation?
Yes, you can do that by using premium actions inside the workflow. You can easily send text messages, media messages, internal notifications, etc. from Workflow automation.
Also, you can use it as a trigger, just select WAMSG in the trigger.
What is the cost of using WhatsApp as a separate channel?
The subscription fee will be as per the below plan.
i. $29 Plan: We charge $29 per month per subscription if you have 10 or less than 10 active subscriptions.
ii. $19 Plan: Pay just $19 per subscription if you have 10+ active paid subscriptions.
